Our Mission

The Catskill Hudson Area Health Education Center (Catskill Hudson AHEC) enhances the quality of, and access to, health care in its 11-county region using collaborative relationships that support education initiatives that improve the availability, quality, geographic distribution and retention of health care personnel. We help provide health career and continuing education opportunities and a diverse, motivated workforce that meets the needs of health providers and underserved communities.

Our Vision

We are helping to develop a service area with a dedicated, diverse and quality health care workforce, supported by resources that are educating and re-training sufficient numbers of health personnel to supply the changing and growing opportunities in the health and related professions. All of our communities recognize the importance of health careers at all levels and are approaching the AHEC to partner in supportive initiatives
